Description

A crispy, cheesy quesadilla filled with seasoned ground beef, onions, and melted cheese — a smashburger-style comfort meal made in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)

  • ½ onion, finely diced

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or 6 slices American cheese

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 2 tbsp butter or oil, for pan

  • Optional: chopped pickles, burger sauce, jalapeños


Instructions

  • Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire. Drain fat.

  • Lay cheese on half of each tortilla. Add beef, optional toppings, and more cheese. Fold in half.

  • Heat butter or oil in skillet. Cook each quesadilla 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  • Slice and serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Don’t overload — it makes flipping tricky.

  • Reheat in skillet or toaster oven for best crispness.

  • Use ground turkey or plant-based meat as a swap.
