Description

This garlic chilli prawn pasta is a quick, bold, restaurant-style dinner featuring juicy prawns, garlic, red pepper flakes, and silky olive oil-coated spaghetti.


Ingredients

Scale
    • 1 lb raw prawns, peeled and deveined

    • 10 oz spaghetti

    • ¼ cup olive oil

    • 45 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

    • ½1 tsp red chilli flakes

    • Zest of 1 lemon

    • Salt and black pepper, to taste

    • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

    • Optional: 1 tbsp butter, grated parmesan, or white wine


Instructions

    • Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.

    • Season prawns with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sear in olive oil until pink; set aside.

    • In the same skillet, add olive oil, garlic, and chilli flakes. Sauté until fragrant.

    • Add pasta, lemon zest, and a splash of pasta water. Toss to coat.

    • Return prawns, add parsley, and warm through. Add butter or parmesan if desired.

    • Serve hot with extra herbs or lemon.

Notes

Use fresh garlic and olive oil for best results. Adjust spice to taste. Add veggies like spinach or cherry tomatoes if desired.
