Description
This garlic chilli prawn pasta is a quick, bold, restaurant-style dinner featuring juicy prawns, garlic, red pepper flakes, and silky olive oil-coated spaghetti.
Ingredients

1 lb raw prawns, peeled and deveined

10 oz spaghetti

¼ cup olive oil

4–5 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

½–1 tsp red chilli flakes

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp chopped parsley

Optional: 1 tbsp butter, grated parmesan, or white wine

Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.

Season prawns with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sear in olive oil until pink; set aside.

In the same skillet, add olive oil, garlic, and chilli flakes. Sauté until fragrant.

Add pasta, lemon zest, and a splash of pasta water. Toss to coat.

Return prawns, add parsley, and warm through. Add butter or parmesan if desired.

Serve hot with extra herbs or lemon.

Notes
Use fresh garlic and olive oil for best results. Adjust spice to taste. Add veggies like spinach or cherry tomatoes if desired.
