Description

Oven-baked crispy tacos stuffed with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and all your favorite toppings. A quick, easy dinner the whole family will love.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ small onion, diced

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp taco seasoning

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste or ¼ cup salsa

  • 10 hard taco shells

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend

  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, hot sauce


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • In skillet, sauté onion in oil until soft. Add garlic and cook briefly.

  • Brown ground beef. Drain fat. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato paste or salsa. Simmer briefly.

  • Place taco shells in a baking dish. Add a little cheese to the bottom of each.

  • Fill with seasoned beef. Top with more cheese.

  • Bake 10–12 minutes until cheese melts and shells are crispy.

  • Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add beans or corn for extra flavor and texture.

  • Store beef filling separately for make-ahead prep.

  • Use gluten-free shells for dietary needs.
