Description

These cheesy mac and cheese bites are crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and perfect for snacking, sharing, or comfort food cravings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups elbow macaroni

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup mozzarella or American cheese

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

  • ½ cup flour (for dredging)

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1½ cups breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)

  • Oil for frying

  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan (for breading)


Instructions

  • Cook pasta and make cheese sauce with butter, flour, milk, and cheeses. Mix together and chill until firm.

  • Shape into balls or nuggets. Freeze 30 minutes.

  • Bread each bite: flour → egg → breadcrumbs. Double coat if desired.

  • Deep fry at 350°F for 2–3 minutes, or air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.

  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • Chill mixture before shaping for best results

  • Can be frozen before or after frying
