Ingredients

2½ cups all-purpose flour

2¼ tsp active dry yeast

1 tbsp sugar

¾ cup warm milk

1 large egg

3 tbsp butter, softened

½ tsp salt

1 cup cooked sausage, sliced

1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or blend)
Egg Wash:

1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk
Instructions

Mix yeast, sugar, and warm milk. Let sit 5–10 minutes.

Add flour, salt, egg, and butter. Knead until smooth and soft.

Let dough rise for 1 hour until doubled.

Divide dough into 8–10 balls, flatten each into a circle.

Add cheese in the center, surround with sausage slices.

Snip or shape into a flower. Let rise 30 minutes.

Brush with egg wash, sprinkle toppings if desired.

Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through.
