Description

Golden toast topped with melted cheese and a perfectly cooked egg, made easily in the air fryer. A fast, satisfying breakfast for any day of the week.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices thick sandwich bread

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or blend)

  • 1 tbsp butter or mayo (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: chili flakes, paprika, herbs for garnish


Instructions

  1. Press down the center of each bread slice to form a well.

  2. Spread butter or mayo on the edges (optional).

  3. Sprinkle cheese into the well, forming a nest.

  4. Crack one egg into each slice’s center. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Preheat air fryer to 350°F. Place toast in basket.

  6. Air fry 6–8 minutes, depending on desired yolk doneness.

  7. Serve hot with herbs or hot sauce, if desired.

Notes

  • Use smaller eggs to prevent overflow.

  • Add pre-cooked bacon, ham, or veggies for variety.

  • Best enjoyed immediately; not ideal for freezing.
